You’ll often need good quality background music, jingles, or sound effects when starting a podcast.

It’s critical to look for royalty-free licenses when using music for podcasts (and YouTube video podcasts) so that you don’t have to pay per use or download.

All of these companies offer royalty-free tracks, but the price of the initial license varies. You’ll find most range from $20-30 to just a text credit and a link.

They usually let you sort by genre, mood, tags, and other methods to filter and find the style you’re looking for.

Learning how to start a WordPress blog can be both fun and profitable.

But if you try to create a blog without a little guidance, it can be easy to quickly get frustrated and quit. We don’t want that!

We’re going to run through how I would start a WordPress blog in 2024 – plus give you some additional options that are popular these days.

There are a few different things you’ll need (which we’ll go through in more detail) in order to get your WordPress site online including:

A topic or niche
A domain name (the .com)
WordPress hosting (where your site “lives”)
A WordPress theme (how your blog looks)
WordPress plugins (how to customize your site)

And of course, a little time to get things set up and modified (I’ll show you the default settings to change a little later).

List of iTunes Podcast Categories (Podcasts Connect Categories)

Apple Podcasts (formerly iTunes Podcasts) is the first podcast directory you should submit your podcast too.

You can choose up to 3 separate categories for your show. We recommend you select all 3 so you have more places to be found.

If your show fits into one of the subcategories, we recommend you choose that because you’ll also be listed in the main category.

For example, if your show is about nutrition, when you choose the Nutrition subcategory, you’ll be listed in both the main Health & Fitness category and the Nutrition subcategory.

Also, make sure the first category you choose in your podcast platform is the most relevant as that will be the main category you’ll be listed in.

Apple recently changed the official Podcast categories and this list is updated as of April 2024.
