How To Upload A Podcast (To iTunes Or Any Other Directory)

It’s a fairly common misconception that iTunes (now Apple Podcasts) and other podcast directories host your podcast media files (typically an MP3). You don’t actually upload your podcast episode files to iTunes.

What really happens is that you show Apple Podcasts where your podcast files are located in the form of an RSS feed.

Then every time you upload a new episode, your feed is automatically updated – and iTunes updates your show listing with the new episode accordingly.

How To Record A Podcast With Skype (3 Different Ways)

It’s extremely common to use Skype for podcast interviews. It’s free, most people already have an account, and it’s easy to use.

But recording your Skype calls requires additional software or hardware, or both.

I also recommend you have your guest use a dedicated microphone if at all possible. And make sure they are using Skype on the computer, not on their phone. Those can be interrupted by regular phone calls.
