There are thousands of different WordPress themes and many different developers that make them, but there really are only a few good theme makers.
And in this post, we’re going to focus on a subset of those and look at the best WordPress themes designed for podcasting in 2024.
Keep in mind that any theme can be used for podcasting because all you need to do is embed a player, but the podcast-focused themes are designed around your needs and workflow.
You’ll host your audio files separately with your podcast hosting provider and they will provide a way for you to embed your episodes on the proper page. Note that some themes will integrate their own players for a more refined look.

We’ll start with podcast WordPress themes and then I’ll suggest a few more excellent theme providers that you can use for your podcast website, a blog, or anything else.
Podcast WordPress Themes
When deciding on a podcast website template for WordPress, you’ll want to look for a few different things:
- A user-friendly audio player
- A fast, lightweight theme so your visitor have a great experience
- Design options so you can customize the look to match your branding
- Regularly updated and accessible support
- Responsive, mobile-friendly design
The good news is that I know this first recommendation (well, the first 5 themes) definitely meets all those criteria.
SecondLine Themes
SecondLine Themes makes a number of different WordPress themes specifically for podcasters. They are definitely the place I would start.
You can buy a single theme, or get access to all of them for a discounted bundle price.
Gumbo
The Gumbo theme lets you put your audio front and center.
You have multiple player options, whether you need one in your header, embedded in your show notes, or anywhere else.
It’s easy to set up and customize to your needs with the Elementor page builder. SecondLine also includes additional add-ons to make it even easier for you.
Dixie
Dixie looks great and makes it easy for your visitors to listen and share episodes.
You can use any podcast host and it’s up to you whether you want to use the provided audio player or embed a third-party one.
There are a bunch of options to display your episodes, including single column, multiple column, slider, infinite scroll, and more!
It’s all easy to configure and customize with the built-in settings or you can use Elementor to make it even easier.
Satchmo
Satchmo is a clean WordPress theme for podcasters and bloggers.
You can use any of the podcasting WordPress plugins to create a feed and embed your episodes – or you can embed them manually from your podcast host.
Bolden
Bolden is designed for a podcast network and those of you with multiple shows.
Your shows can be organized in a carousel or in a grid, they have multiple sorting options, and a nice modern design.
Tusant
Tusant is the latest WordPress theme for podcasters. I love the nice clean and modern design with this new theme.
There are different layout options, carousels, sliders, and more.
It supports Elementor, a page builder plugin, and is easy to customize and configure to your needs.
Podcaster
Podcaster is a theme with a ton of options.
It supports the Blubrry PowerPress and Seriously Simple Podcasting plugins, has a neat parallax scrolling effect for header images, lets people listen the latest episode right on your homepage, and more.

More WordPress Themes
These themes are specifically for podcasting, but they can and do work well.
StudioPress
I have used StudioPress themes on all my sites for a while now. Even this site uses one of their themes.
They have a bunch of different designs and their documentation is really detailed.
Plus, it’s all built on top of a single framework that is regularly updated so you know it will be fast, secure, SEO-friendly, and easy to use.
GeneratePress
GeneratePress is highly recommended for its flexibility and speed.
They have a free version and a premium version with a bunch of additional features for only $49.95.
One of my favorites is the importable demo content so you can quickly get a website template that is easy to update with your content – then you’re good to go!
